Dr. Colombel is the director of the Susan and Leonard Feinstein Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Center and the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Center (Mount Sinai, NY). Over the years he has also served roles as president of European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization (ECCO) and chair of the International Organization of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IOIBD). His research focuses on the pathophysiology of IBD and development of new therapeutic strategies.
